Artist-in-Residence at Perth Museum & Art Gallery 2018

In 2018, Perth Museum & Art Gallery commissioned me to be the artist-in-residence of which an art piece would be produced for the permanent collection. The residence was part of the Platform contemporary arts festival. The project involved me working closely with the Museum so that I could put together a new set of gunpowder drawings inspired by the permanent collection.

The overall result was an exhibition showcasing an interpretation of some of the museum’s collection portrayed in gunpowder. In addition to this, a large-scale gunpowder piece executed on copper was created to be added to the permanent collection of Perth Museum.

Platform is operated by Perthshire Creates, a network of contemporary creative activities, and Culture Perth & Kinross, which works to support the development and delivery of cultural services across Perth and Kinross. Platform encourages established and emerging artists in Perthshire to push their creative boundaries and explore the contemporary cultural identity of the region.
